About the project
Less than a year after a derecho struck Ada, Minnesota with winds exceeding 100 mph and severely damaged the Ada Public Works building, the city broke ground on a new chapter.
The Ada Municipal Complex will bring City Hall, Ada Public Works, and City Police together under one roof for the first time. At more than 18,400 square feet, it is the largest construction project in recent Ada history, designed in partnership with RHET Architects and supported by MBN Engineering and Heyer Engineering.
Groundbreaking was held May 5, 2026. The project is currently under construction.
“It’s not just about constructing a new building,” said Ada Mayor John Hintz. “It’s about delivering on the promise to our citizens to create a stronger city for the future and the generations that follow.”
For Great States Construction, this project reflects exactly the kind of work that matters most in the communities where they build.
