As demand for childcare continues to grow in Fargo, Kozy Kove set out to create a space that works for both their team and the families they serve. Great States Construction managed the tenant improvement of an existing office space into a licensed facility for infants, little kids, and big kids.

Where possible, existing flooring was protected and preserved. In the kitchen, concrete was removed, replaced, and polished to support a new commercial setup: a three-compartment sink, commercial refrigerator, dual ovens, new cabinetry, adjacent dry storage, and a dedicated laundry area. A half wall separates the little kids’ play area from the main space, maintaining clear sightlines without dividing the room. Hand wash lavatories were added to multiple rooms to meet daycare licensing requirements.

On the outside, the team added a new concrete sidewalk for easier stroller access.

Delivered in four weeks, Kozy Kove opened on schedule and was ready to serve families from day one.
