Great States Construction built out Degree Wellness from a bare shell in a brand new Fargo strip mall, delivering a 2,400-square-foot self-care and recovery studio to franchise standards.

The first thing you see is the lobby’s salt block wall, warm in color and rich in texture, with an oversized Degree logo at its center.

The technical side of this project made it challenging and rewarding. The build features a number of proprietary systems, starting with the cryotherapy room. Using equipment from CryoBuilt, the room drops to 175 degrees below zero (that is colder than Fargo gets in January). Building a room that cold required working closely with the CryoBuilt team on power, clearances, and layout for their proprietary unit.

The cold plunge and built-in sauna each came with their own plumbing and ventilation demands. The IV lounge brought elements of a medical facility, requiring dedicated space for equipment maintenance and supply storage.

From large zero-entry showers finished in oversized tile to floor-to-ceiling wall tile around wet areas, plumbing and tile were a theme throughout this project, functional and stylish in equal measure. Throughout the entire process, our team stayed engaged with the local ownership group to make sure their plans lined up with Degree Wellness franchise requirements.
