About the project
Dakota Park has been part of the Fargo community for decades, and this renovation focused on making that experience feel fresh, current, and ready for what’s next. Originally opened in 1996, the property has long stood out for its scale and resident-friendly design.
Great States Construction partnered closely with Collective to build on that foundation, modernizing key spaces without losing what residents already value. The community room was completely reimagined as the centerpiece of the update, transformed into a clean, modern space. Updated finishes, new flooring, and refreshed lighting create a brighter, more cohesive environment.
Within the community room, the kitchen was fully rebuilt with new cabinets, new flooring, and new appliances, making it more functional for everything from small get-togethers to larger events. New furnishings introduce flexible areas for relaxing, working, and connecting throughout the day.
Two on-site fitness centers received full renovations, each updated with new equipment, durable flooring, and improved layouts. Full-wall mirrors expand the space visually while supporting a better workout experience.
The leasing office saw its own set of improvements, creating a more functional workspace for the on-site team and a more welcoming environment for both current and prospective residents.
All work was completed with a focus on minimizing disruption, allowing residents to continue their day-to-day routines while improvements were underway.
