Each year, Prairie Business magazine recognizes a group of women whose careers reflect professional achievement, leadership, and meaningful community involvement. This year, we’re proud to celebrate our very own Hannah Savoy, Director of Marketing for Great States Construction, on being named to the Prairie Business Top 25 Women in Business for 2026.
“Working with Hannah, it’s clear how much intention she brings to the marketing of Great States Construction. She’s thoughtful, strategic, and cares deeply about representing our company the right way. This recognition is well deserved, and I’m proud to see her recognized for her great leadership,” said Kevin Hochman, director of Operations for Great States Construction.
All Things Strategy
Hannah is the Director of Marketing at Great States Construction, bringing a thoughtful and strategic approach to how the company communicates its commitment to building great communities. With her impressive background in ecommerce and marketing leadership, along with a deep understanding of digital strategy, Hannah approaches her work with both creativity and curiosity.
One of the things Hannah enjoys most about marketing is that the learning never stops. Business evolves quickly. She embraces the challenge of keeping pace with it.
That passion is reflected in the projects Great States is involved with across the Upper Midwest. Different markets, different project types, different scales. Each requires a different strategy, and Hannah’s vision helps bring that balance together.
Far More Than a Career
Anyone who has the chance to grab coffee with Hannah quickly discovers her enthusiasm for life and adventure.
She loves to travel, spend time in nature (she adores camping), and seek out new experiences (she willingly jumps out of airplanes). Given her love of travel and adventure, it’s truly no surprise that she counts Google Flights as one of her favorite websites. She’s also an expert at scoring the best travel deals.
Her perspective on growth, both personal and professional, has been shaped in part by the people around her.
“I was lucky enough to surround myself with friends who became mentors during my career,” noted Hannah. ”I participated in 35 under 35 early in my career and it helped me surround myself with people from all walks of life who provided guidance, pushed me, and continue to be my cheerleaders today.”
Helping Others
That same approach carries into how she mentors others who are early in their careers.
“Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Ask for understanding, ask for clarify, and ask because you are afraid to,” Hannah remarked. ”I have had plenty of unique opportunities happen just from simply asking. Ask someone to coffee. Ask someone to mentor you. Ask someone for guidance.”
While adventure and self-improvement energize her, volunteering and giving back nourish her. Hannah gives her time to organizations such as Hope Blooms and Down Home, supporting efforts that meaningfully empower others in the community.
Given Hannah’s humility and commitment to helping those around her, it’s not surprising that she finds the most meaning not in awards, but in the moments where she can support someone else.
“I always have a sense of pride when someone reaches out with a question or asks to grab a coffee”, Hannah reflected. “It makes me feel valued that I can give back to someone and give a bit of advice that younger Hannah could have used in her career.”
Leading With Purpose
Leadership is ultimately about helping others grow, according to Hannah.
“I hope to be a leader that pushes people out of their comfort zones. Someone who sees the best in their people and challenges them,” Hannah said. “Someone who teaches that you can lead from any seat, and not to hide their talents, thoughts, or questions.”
Recognition like this reflects more than professional success. It speaks to the way someone shows up every day for their team, their friends, their community, and the work they care deeply about.
We could not be happier to celebrate this accomplishment with you, Hannah. Thank you for everything you bring to our team and to the communities we help build.
