This year pushed us, challenged us, and ultimately strengthened us. Across the Upper Midwest, Great States Construction delivered a wide range of projects while staying focused on what matters most: teamwork, quality, and building great communities.

Projects That Shaped the Year

BLOC in Fargo, ND

We proudly finished BLOC in Fargo and Farmstead Townhomes in Billings, two multifamily projects that demanded strong coordination and consistent execution. Our team also delivered three Kwik Trip locations across the Fargo–Moorhead area, each on a fast-paced schedule, while bringing local favorites to life like Duane’s House of Pizza and POPS Soda Shop’s first Fargo location.

Looking ahead, we started construction on The Setting in Edina and Village Co-op of Billings, setting the stage for continued growth. Along the way, we wrapped up key tenant improvement and commercial projects, including Nichole’s Fine Pastry, Peace Academy, Anytime Fitness in Horace, and Dakota Timber, just to name a few.

A Team Effort, Through and Through

This year highlighted the strength of our people. Chad Westrick, VP of Construction, shared:

“This year more than ever, the teamwork of everyone stepping up to help one another was incredible to watch. With demanding schedules and multiple projects moving at once, people leaned in, asked how they could help, and made a real difference. Very proud to work with this team.”

That adaptability showed up everywhere. From unpredictable weather to tight timelines, our teams found solutions and kept projects moving forward.

Leadership & Recognition

Our President and Founder, Michael Casper, summed it up well:

“Our greatest strength is our people. Watching this team step up for one another and for our clients through complex challenges reinforces why we do what we do. I’m incredibly proud of what we accomplished together and excited for what’s ahead.”

We also celebrated a big leadership milestone this year. Kevin Hochman, Director of Operations, was recognized as a Prairie Business Magazine 40 Under 40 honoree, a reflection of his steady leadership and people-first approach across our projects.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move into 2026, we’re carrying this momentum forward. If you’re planning a commercial, multifamily, or mixed-use project and want a partner who shows up, collaborates, and delivers, we’d love to talk.

Let’s build something great together in 2026.
