If you’ve driven down University Drive lately, you’ve probably noticed something missing—Duane’s House of Pizza, a Fargo staple for decades, is gone. But don’t worry: it’s not the end of an era—it’s the start of a new one.

Duane’s is moving just steps away into the newly constructed BLOC, a vibrant mixed-use building developed by Great States Construction. Nestled right behind their original location, the new space will feature more seating, an outdoor patio, and an upgraded atmosphere that still feels like home for longtime fans.
“We’re proud to see a beloved local business like Duane’s move into one of our newest buildings,” said Michael Casper, President of Great States Construction. “Our team put a lot of care into BLOC—from the structural design to the finishing touches—and we’re excited it will house such an iconic part of the Fargo food scene.”
BLOC offers more than just pizza potential. The ground floor is home to commercial tenants, while the upper levels house 126 modern apartment homes with high-quality finishes, in-home laundry, and oversized windows. Residents also enjoy access to curated amenities like a rooftop patio, fitness center, yoga studio, game room, and work-from-home spaces—all designed to bring people together.
Construction on Duane’s new space is already moving fast, and the excitement is building. As one door closes, another is opening—literally just across the parking lot—with more room, fresh air, and the same great pizza.
Stay tuned as we help bring Duane’s next chapter to life.
